Bremen High School
Class of '62 Reunion Events & Activities

A personal note from Rich...

I wasn't sure how to handle this, but I need to say "thanks"...

When I was asked to Chair the 50th Reunion Committee in 2012, I had absolutely no idea what I was signing-up for.  However, at the time I was well aware that I couldn't "do it alone".  Fortunately, by virtue of some great work that prior reunion committees did, and the willingness of several volunteers to "give it their all", we pulled-off a memorable event in 2012 for our 50th!

Surprisingly, many of our classmates who attended the 50th expressed an interest in "keeping the ball rolling".  Once again, this is not something that one can take on alone.  Fortunately, there was a core group of committee members who said -- "let's do it!"

Why am I writing this?  Well, a few of my "teammates" felt that I needed some recognition.  Unbeknownst to me, they presented me with a service award and also set up a Bremen Scholarship Program in my name.  On September 11, 2015, a check for $1,200 was presented to Dr. David Kibelkis, Bremen's Principal.  Wow!

To all who participated in and contributed to this I say -- I sincerely appreciate your kind thoughts and efforts!

However, back to my main point -- none of what I may have contributed could have been accomplished without the help of others -- many others, way too numerous to list!  To them I say a "big thank you" for your support!  As far as I'm concerned this recognition is a testament to the entire Class of '62 reunion team -- both past and present.

What is it?  Below are the presentation and scholarship materials that I received, all of which were the creation and work of Denny Day, Mary Lou (Daly) Pisone, Sandie (Stephens) Jordan, and Sue (Vaughan) Nelson.  How they pulled this off without "spilling the beans" is a complete mystery to me!  All I can say is that you "guys" are amazing!  Thanks!

The most important aspect of this program is that some deserving students will receive some financial aid for their continuing education.
